I wouldn’t have disliked MBG so much if the program's approach and implementation had been strategic and clear enough

Yes! It’s a weird feeling—I honestly liked the idea of students having lunch at schools. I grew up with images of school canteens being a nice place to hang in movies (but not all the bullying), but the way MBG is being implemented is quite literally the non-human personification of taking the long, thorny road when there’s a straightforward route that gets you there safely in time.

Is MBG a summoning spell now? Thanks! The fact that so many people have shown interests makes me want to write more on Substack!

this remind me with this:

"you seem pretty hopeful for a country so corrupted"

I feel upset about what is actually happening to this country, and feeling like there's nothing we can actually do about it makes it worse.

Hope is our business with ourselves. Whether that hope materializes into reality should not have any bearing to whether we preserve that hope or not. (What am I saying)

This has made me realize how such a big program was so intentionally made and driven by a political will, instead of continuing and improving the PMT-AS, which had great potential to be a good “successor”, launching a totally new program was chosen for the sake of fulfilling the political promise..

a good point of view to explain what we concern most about MBG, because it's all about the clarity from the beginning tho.

I didn’t expect that someone would write an article about MBG. Nonetheless, I would say nice writing

GREAT ARTICLES!! as a nutrition student, the mbg program has honestly been pretty concerning from a nutrition science perspective. It's frustrating when a small suggestions or criticism from our experts don't seem to be taken seriously... it genuinely makes us feel kind of powerless and hopeless about the whole thing. You explained things perfectly here! especially about stunting prevention that concentrated in the first 1000 days of life! that's what many people unfortunately still don't know about T__T So thank you, your post also helped me understand the wider aspects of this program a lot better!!!

Great article! I recently wrote about what if we did experiment for MBG before launched it nationwide. Full article in my publication page, curious about your thoughts on this

I couldn't agree no more with this article. The main thing that worrying us Indonesian Citizen about this program is How this Program operate
