Basically, I’m saying that the funding model is fine. It’s one of the pathways a growing nation should take. But the objective, the way they filter candidates, and the policy itself need to be reformed. I couldn’t articulate it clearly there, but this piece is gold!

And funnily enough, some other close friends who are also funded by LPDP didn’t bother to leave a comment or any “trace” on my video. They’re afraid of being judged because of the outrage — a fear I didn’t even think about when I first uploaded it. Guess that’s one of the perks of living your life with integrity :)

Glad you resonate with our thoughts! This doesn’t mean we don’t think both parts share the blame—one sets unclear terms, the other doesn’t honor what they’ve agreed to—but ultimately it is important to not shift the accountability from government to citizens.
